Crossville hosts rolling thunder as they dedicated POW/MIA chair

Rolling Thunder POW/MIA Chair of Honor Program is intended to honor our veterans and support Rolling Thunder’s main mission by bringing daily reminders of the POW/MIA issue to cities and towns, big and small across the nation. Crossville joined small towns across southern Illinois Saturday with a dedication of one such chair in Veterans Memorial Park. President of Chapter 3 Illinois, Tony “Mongo” Schmidt read the names and stories of the POW/MIA service men and women of White County during the ceremony as a color guard from the Rolling Thunder surrounded the memorial chair. The respectful crowd gathered after the ceremony to thank the men and women who came to witness the ceremony.
