Dartt Farm granted sesquicentennial status



The John Pat and Sharon Dartt farm in White County has been named a Sesquicentennial Farm by the Illinois Department of Agriculture. To qualify as a Sesquicentennial farm, a straight or collateral line of descendants must own the agricultural property for 150 years. The family received the historic distinction to their farm after their application for the designation was approved.

Sharon Dartt is the fifth generation owner of the 171.74 acre farm in Burnt Prairie Township.
