Several linemen from the Wayne-White Counties Electric Cooperative are in Louisiana helping restore electrical service knocked out by Hurricane Laura. The Category 4 storm caused widespread damage along the Louisiana coast resulting in officials putting out the call for help.
Eight linemen from the Wayne-White co-op are on scene helping a Louisiana power cooperative that lost 100% of the power to 42,000 customers. Wayne-White officials have a policy of not identifying the linemen working in a disaster area until after they return home
