Hal J. Collier, 62, of Fairfield, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles, MO.

Hal was born August 26, 1958, to Baby Ruth Henry, in Tupelo, MS.

Spending over a decade together, on July 4, 2021, Hal married his true love and best friend, Carolyn Locklar in Fairfield, IL.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Albion, IL.

Hal loved the Chicago Cubs; a die hard fan, he enjoyed going to the games.  Spending time with his children and grandkids was important to him.  Growing up without a father, Hal strived to be the best father ever to his children.  He even taught his grandchildren how to bowl, being an avid bowler himself.  He also enjoyed fishing, walking, and having BBQ’s.  A ferocious card player, he loved Spades and Rummy.   A lover of all types of music, Hal was always singing some sort of tune.  He was an amazing person, a loyal friend, and would give you the shirt off his back.  He made you laugh and when you spent time with him, he always made you smile.  He always made everyone happy, and never met a stranger.  Never materialistic, Hal showed you how wonderful life could be.  Life will never be the same without Hal, and when he left this world, the world lost someone great.
