The Carmi-White County Lady Bullpup basketball program wrapped up the home portion of their schedule last week, hosting North Posey (IN) and Flora in the Washington Attendance Center finale.

Wednesday, Jan. 8

7th: North Posey 35, CWC 15

Perimeter shooting and height created problems for the Lady Bullpups against North Posey, as CWC trailed 8-2 after one quarter and never really got into the contest.

Lauren Burzynski led the Lady Bullpups with six points.

8th: CWC 34, North Posey 32

Chris Pollard’s Lady Bullpups took care of business not only from outside the arc (3-for-3) but also from the charity stripe (5-for-6) to hold off a very talented North Posey squad.

Mara Serafini led CWC in the scoring department with a game-high 24 points.

Thursday, Jan. 11

Seven players reached the scorebook in the victory. Laney York scored 12 points for Mike Zaranti’s squad to lead CWC in the scoring column.

8th: CWC 27, Flora 24

CWC won their second consecutive “nail-biter” of the week, sending the eighth graders out victorious on “Eighth Grade Night.”

The Lady Bullpup defense was all over the court against Flora, forcing the Lady Wolfpups into 25 turnovers for the game.

The Lady Bullpups were led in scoring by Johanna Smith with 12 points.
