The Carmi-White County Lady Bullpup softball team not only picked up two victories over the past week, but they also did not allow a single hit in both contests against Albion and Benton.

CWC 9, Albion 0 (Wed., Sept. 4)

Audrey Upton threw a gem in the circle, striking out 11 in her no-hitter performance.

CWC jumped out to a 6-0 advantage after the first inning at Edwards County and never looked back.

The Lady Bullpups pounded out 14 hits in the game which included nine doubles, three of which were contributed by Alayna Johnson.

Riley Roark recorded a game-high three RBIs for the maroon and white.

CWC 16, Benton 0 (Thur., Sept 5)

Upton and Kadie Simmons combined on a 12-strikeout performance in a four-inning no-hitter.

Simmons, Johnson, and Roark all had three hits to pace CWC (15-2) at the plate. Simmons and Johnson contributed a game-high four runs batted in each.

“The girls have worked really hard,” said head coach Cindy Colman. “Everyone has had opportunities to step up and make contributions, and they have not squandered those chances.”
